How To Trade

Friends – bring in your gently used items and one of our stylists will go through them while you shop! Anything we think is in demand, trendy, of high quality or has a signature look with high resale possibility, we will give you store credit for This is usually 35% of what we feel we can sell it for. Occasionally we will offer to take high-end clothing as a consignment. Consignment offers a higher resale tag and therefore you benefit from a higher payout than what trade store credit offers. Please see our consignment page for detailed information on consigning. Usually most clothing works best as a trade.

Here are some of the brands we crave:

Seven
Gap
Anthropology
Banana Republic
Abercrombie
Levi's
Delia's
Diesel
Ann Klein
J Crew
Citizens of Humanity
Blue Cult
DKNY

All high end designer labels. The same applies to children's wear.

We also accept really eccentric clothing, retro fashions, vintage wear, hand made, and accessories in perfect condition.

how the trade process works:

Bring in your freshly laundered clothing. Condition and smell is most important! No hangers unless your trade is high end and necessary. We prefer that you bring neatly folded clothes in a bag, box or clothes basket to our trading post. Once checking in, you can shop around or be present with the stylist as they sort through your clothing. Once the process is complete, the stylist will inform you of your store credit. Any clothes not accepted can be donated to an organization of choice…we provide donation options or you may take your clothing with you when you leave the store.

Now the fun starts - shopping! Once you have shopped yourself to bliss, you can take your new items to the checkout counter and the credit from your trade is applied, giving you a great discount or covering the cost of your new purchases. How cool is that? It is that easy! So start clearing out your closets and drawers for a sweet reward you will actually wear! Stop hoarding and start recycling!

"After all when you let something go
you automatically free up space for something new!"

Trading Rules

You must be 18 years old with valid ID, have a parent's consent or be accompanied by an adult to trade.

Tips

Check our phone messages for updates on what we are accepting.

Check out the “Now Accepting” page to see what seasonal items we are accepting and what items we are not. Remember that just because certain items were not accepted at one trade does not mean they won't be accepted in the future. We have to be very discerning to keep quality standards high and clothes moving. Often we are looking for certain styles that change week to week.

What we do not accept:

Clothing with stains or tears. Clothes that have cigarette smoke or odors. Rarely ever- jean shorts, shoes (unless new, in perfect condition or designer label), clothes that are out of style or not currently in trend demand, clothing and accessories out of season, clothing with condition that is not appealing or below standard, “frumpy” clothing and clothing with labels that make it hard to sell at a profit (Wal-mart and Target, for instance) but there are always exceptions when the item has never been worn or is very unique.

An Act to feel Proud of!

Choosing to trade and buy recycle is a wonderful way to be responsible for our planet. Americans dispose of over 4 billion tons of worn clothing a year! Trading, donating and shopping in this fashion keeps clothes out of landfills. You can help yourself, your planet and others while looking oh, so fashionably good!
